How far to the botanical gardens?
Weren't there directions in your book Part of the World for Cheapskates?
Is this the church/mosque/temple/spirit place?
Is this a cemetery?
Is this an apartment building?
Is this a monastery?
Do people live here?
Is this a school?
What do they make at this factory?
What are all these barrels for?
Put your American money away.
Do you think we're supposed to be here?
Is that man a policeman/militia/security guard/priest/teacher?

That Mister Grapefruit sure was a friendly fellow. I understood a lot of what he was saying.
I thought the tour bus was going to wait for us here.
How long will we be in this taxi?
How far is the border?
I didn't think you could get ten people in a car this size.

Can you see out the window? Is that your shoulder in my armpit or someone else's?
